Join us for these events during the 2013 Great American Cleanup!

Great American Cleanup Kick Off - Saturday, April 6
Join Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Otero’s Dairy Queen as we kick off the Great American Cleanup! Stop by to register for our spring cleanup and get a free root beer float (while supplies last). Otero’s Dairy Queen is located at 2116 Southern Blvd.

Tree Seedling Giveaway- Saturday, April 13
Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful and the Water Conservation Office will be holding a community tree seedling giveaway. The giveaway will be held Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Loma Colorado Main Library.

Earth Day Celebration-Saturday, April 20
Join Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at Esther Bone Memorial Library to celebrate Earth Day. Learn about a Waste Management garbage truck, how a landfill works, and visit with the Office of Water Conservation. Hands-on kids activities, a model of an aquifer and a model of a landfill!  Free Dairy Queen Dilly Bars too! While supplies last.

Volunteer to be a Rio Rancho Tree Steward!-Saturday, April 27
Volunteers are asked to serve for a one-year period and attend a Saturday workshop. This fun and interactive workshop with urban forestry experts includes a morning classroom session and hands-on training in the afternoon at a local park. We invite you, your friends and neighbors to join our team and attend our workshop from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at UNM West. Call 896-8389 to register today!

Great American Cleanup- Saturday, May 4
We need volunteers for our citywide cleanup on Saturday, May 4 from 8:00 a.m, until noon. Activities include cleaning public lands, right-of-ways, vacant lots and parks. Advance registration is required to receive cleanup supplies.  Volunteers will be rewarded with a BBQ “Thank You” party at Cabezon Park and community center following the cleanup.
