Hewlett-Packard
On December 17, 2008 the Rio Rancho City Council approved a project participation agreement and Local Economic Development Project Ordinance that will allow for a
Hewlett-Packard (HP) facility to be built in the city’s downtown City Center adjacent to City Hall.
This three-story, approximately 218,000-square-foot facility, will serve as an HP customer service and technical support center. As part of this project, HP will continuously employ 1,350 full-time employees at this site by the end of 2012.
Ground was officially broken on the new HP site on January 7, 2009. HP’s target operational date for this new facility is late 2009, early 2010.
